      4. Description of the procurement:

        AFD is searching a Supervision Consultant for the implementation of a ‘Green mini-grids Programme’ in Kenya, funded by DFID.

        This Programme aims at promoting private initiatives in green mini-grids improving access to electricity. This Green mini-grid Programme will make almost 30 M£ available for capital support to projects and/or technical assistance and market development activities. A Managing Entity will be recruited to implement this program, in collaboration with AFD.

        The Consultant will be acting as Supervision Consultant for the Green Mini-Grid Programme for AFD Nairobi Office. The Consultant will be in charge of the daily follow-up and management of the Programme on behalf of AFD, to ensure a timely delivery of quality outputs of the Programme, as well as positive visibility of the Programme, in a view to maximizing its positive impacts for all stakeholders.

        For this purpose, the Consultant is expected to present a good expertise in the Energy sector, in particular renewable.
